Ms. L's Third Grade

Hello, and welcome to our class website! I'm Lauren Muñoz (Ms. L), and I am excited to share this journey with you and your learner for the '25-'26 school year! Here’s a little bit about me:

This is my 17th year of teaching and my second year at The Arts Based School South campus.

I am originally from Texas but have been enjoying life in North Carolina since 2021.

I have one wonderful son, Shane, who is currently in college at my alma mater, the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). Go Roadrunners! He will graduate this December with a BS in Computer Science and a minor in Math. He previously attended an arts magnet high school where he was actively involved in technical theatre for musical performances.

I am also a cat mom to a Lynx point Siamese cat named Sadie. She brings a lot of love and laughter every day.

I believe in fostering a nurturing and engaging environment where each child feels valued and motivated to learn. My goal is to inspire a love for learning and the arts that extends beyond the classroom.

I am looking forward to this school year, it is going to be a fun year!
