Joey Cutts (Assistant Principal)
Hello, I am Joey Cutts, and I am entering 23rd year in education. My journey began twenty years ago as a 6th grade math teacher at Wiley Middle School, where I dedicated myself to creating engaging and effective learning experiences for my students. During my time at Wiley I also taught science and social studies.
The past three years I have served as the Dean of Students at Gibson Elementary School. In this leadership role, I focused on fostering a positive school culture and creating a safe and supportive environment for students and staff was a top priority.
I am thrilled to begin this new chapter as the Assistant Principal of The Arts Based School. My deep appreciation for the arts aligns perfectly with the school's vision, and I am excited to support our student's creativity and academic growth.
As Assistant Principal, my mission is to empower students, support teachers, and collaborate with parents and staff to create a harmonious and thriving educational community. I am determined to instill a sense of curiosity, foster a love for the arts, and inspire a lifelong love of learning in all students.
Outside of my professional life, I love spending quality time with my family, photography, and staying involved with my church. Education and making a positive impact on others have become an integral part of my personal identity and I am looking forward to working with everyone in The Arts Based School community!!
