Ms. Jenn's Third Grade Class
Hi! I'm a third grade teacher at ABS. My son started ABS in Kindergarten and I loved it here so much that I just had to work here! I started out as a TA and then taught two years of First Grade at the South Campus. I am excited to return to North Campus to teach Third Grade this year.
I just finished up my Master's of Teaching at UNC-Charlotte and I am a Salem Sister, Class of '07! I am currently finishing up LETRS training. I live in the West End with my son (7th, ABS), my girlfriend and her daughter (2nd, ABS), our three doodle pups and one bearded dragon! I also have an adult daughter, 22, who is a school counselor.
I love the all that Winston-Salem has to offer: the arts, the close proximity to the mountains and the beach, the restaurants, the cute little coffee and tea joints, the live music scene and all the fun and quirky local shops. This past year has been one of revisiting old hobbies, like playing the piano, the guitar, and picking up a few new ones, like working with watercolors, oil pastels, and chalk pastels. I love to create with my hands; my craft bin is filled with half finished projects and supplies for future ideas!
I celebrate the joy that everyday brings, inside the classroom and out! I look forward to being your learner's teacher this year!
