All About Mr. Tate
Hello! My name is Adam Tate and I am excited to be teaching 6th grade here at Arts Based. This will be my 5th year teaching at ABS. I attended Winston-Salem State University and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in STEM. I am also a new dad to my son born last May, so summer has been a blast!
I live with my wife, Ashley Tate, who also works at ABS as our Director of Student Services and Operations. I enjoy Ice Hockey and my favorite team is the Carolina Hurricanes. In my spare time, I enjoy playing video games, camping/hiking, fishing, and playing golf.

Disney Character: Buzz Lightyear
Holiday: Christmas and Halloween
Candy: Anything gummy and anything sour (not black licorice)
Snack: Jerky and spicy snacks
Chip: Chili Cheese Fritos
Drinks: Gatorade, Mio, and Coffee
Here are a few things I do not enjoy: spiders, heights, beets, and being unorganized.
