Calling Class & Specialist Representatives

Interested in being a Class Rep or Specialist Rep next year?  Recruitment for Class & Specialist Reps generally takes place over the summer once Class Lists are finalized.  Being a Class Rep is a great way to stay involved with your child’s classroom teacher and parents as well as stay on top of your volunteer hours!  Think you might be interested in being a Rep or Co-Rep next year?  See the attached “Be A Classroom Rep!” document for more details and please contact Shannon Wright (thewrights@triad.rr.com) or Michelle Lawrence (mhopkins@alumni.princeton.edu) if you are interested.  Thank you!

Who’s My Teacher?

Classroom teachers met with the grade level team before school was out to create the class rosters for next year.  They use all that they know about your child’s academic, social, emotional, and behavioral qualities to determine which

classroom is the best match.  Parent requests received before May 1st are also considered along with other information.  To find out your classroom assignment for next year, class lists will be posted on the ABS website when all teachers have been hired.

Summer Packets

Summer packets will be mailed out in July to new students.  Please read and complete these forms before the first day of school.  You may return these to the front office during summer hours or during Back to School night.  If you did not receive your summer packet, please contact Stephanie May at smay@artsbasedschool.com
