Rising 1st grade-6th grade
ABS is excited to offer FIVE fantastic weeks of Summer Camp this June and July for rising 1st-6th graders!
Join ABS teachers for a week (or all 5 weeks) of adventure as we explore different cultures through music, dance, arts and crafts, drama, and lots of outdoor fun. We’ll sing, we’ll play, we’ll learn many new things, but most of all – we’ll have FUN!
Students will be separated into age appropriate groups and travel throughout the day to each of the 4 categories below. All campers will participate in all of these fun-filled rotations each day:
The fact that children can make beautiful music is less significant than the fact that music can make beautiful children ~Cheryl Lavender.Join us this summer as we learn about cultures around the world through music and dance. We’ll beat the drums, dance to the rhythms, play an instrument or two, and sing songs as we discover the world in which we live.
- Arts and Crafts
Grab your passport for a fun filled summer discovering art from around the world! We’ll explore traditional folk art techniques from Africa, Europe, the Americas, Asia and more. Join us, create, and be inspired by the art of other cultures.
All the world’s a stage so let’s explore it together! We’ll dive in with ensemble-building theater games, character-building, and the fundamentals of storytelling while discovering unique cultural forms of theater performance from around the world.
- Outdoor Fun
Scavenger hunts, scooter relays, Gaga ball, Hula hut throwdown, kickball, wiffle ball, hockey, tag games, ultimate frisbee, soccer and the list goes on! Did we mention we’ll incorporate some water into this fun?
ABS teachers will lead engaging activities that connect students with the culture, art, and music of several countries within a continent. Each camp week will have a unique curriculum so campers will have a new experience each week!
