Anne Campbell – Third Grade Teacher
Annie moved to North Carolina with her husband, Kevin 16 years ago. She spent the first 17 years of her career teaching in the Adirondack Park in upstate New York. Annie has a BA in Theater Arts and an MS in Special Education. She is certified in elementary, special, and gifted education, as well as theater arts. Annie taught fourth grade at Marvin Ward Elementary and HAG at Brunson Elementary before joining the staff at ABS. Annie enjoys bluegrass music, photography, reading, puppetry, beekeeping, and relaxing with Clover & Willow, her furry felines. Her favorite children’s authors are Kate DiCamilo, Grace Lin, and Jerry Spinelli. Annie enjoys teaching enthusiastic and energetic third graders. She is very excited about beginning her sixth year at ABS.
Becca is incredibly excited to be teaching third grade at ABS! She has spent the last three years teaching at Kimmel Farm Elementary in Winston-Salem. Becca graduated from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington with a degree in elementary education. When she is not teaching she enjoys being active outdoors by hiking, playing tennis, and running in obstacle course races. She cannot wait to use her creativity and passion for education to make this an incredible year for her third graders.
Lauren Quintal- Third Grade Teacher
Lauren feels incredibly blessed to be going into her third year teaching 3rd grade at the Arts Based School. She graduated from High Point University with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Theatre. Lauren also has her M.Ed in STEM Education from HPU. She is originally from the beautiful, snowy state of Maine. She loves reading, singing, watching football, acting, sweet time with the people she loves most, and embracing her wanderlust and traveling whenever she gets the chance. Lauren loves getting to come into ABS everyday and do what she loves most; pouring her passions into learning experiences, being creative and hands-on, getting to know and encourage the individuality and beautiful quirks of her students, and finding the joy, laughter, and curiosity in everyday. She is excited for another amazing year with her third graders.
