Meet our fifth grade teachers
Laura Lynne Frazier – Fifth Grade Teacher
Laura Lynne is beginning her 5th year of teaching 5th grade at ABS. She enjoys working with her colleagues creating interesting units of study for the very curious students at Arts Based School. She has 3 grown children – one married son in the Marines, another son at UNCW, and a daughter who graduated from APP State last year and is working in Winston Salem with the Blue Ridge Music Center, and a beautiful grandson. Her at home children are now her two dogs, Sparky and Charlie. Laura Lynne loves music (she directed children’s choirs for 15 years, sings and plays the flute), reading, walking, going to movies, visiting the various wineries and breweries here in North Carolina, and traveling with her husband, Rob.
Leni Fragakis – Fifth Grade Teacher
Leni graduated from High Point University with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Special Education. She earned her M.Ed. in Elementary Education with a focus in literacy and completed her add-on administrative license at HPU. At ABS, she has worked as a first grade assistant and a third grade teacher. Her new adventure is working on her Doctorate in Educational Leadership with a focus in cultural foundations. Because of her past work in libraries, she has a passion for reading and especially children’s books, which has led her to publish two integrated units of study for the International Literacy Association. In her spare time, Leni watches basketball, spends time with her big Greek family, and teaches group fitness classes.
